Empowering Change seeks to reduce incarceration recidivism by helping men and women with criminal records overcome economic obstacles in the way of gainful employment and productive citizenship.

We all live somewhere. The "American Dream" is home ownership. Having a criminal record doesn't mean you cant have that dream too.
Path to Higher Education
Knowledge is Freedom. Education is the key to opening unlimited doors and opportunities. Whether you need a GED or a PHD, we can help you get there.
Did you know?
It's estimated that 75% of those incarcerated at York County Jail will reoffend or otherwise violate the terms of their release and be returned to jail. Some of whom do so in just hours after release.
Empowering Change was established to give former inmates access to opportunities which, through their own diligent efforts, can help break the recidivism cycle and help them lead productive, purpose-filled lives.
